Description
This trenchart item is fashioned into a Skiff (an open rowing boat) and has a 2cm button of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers were an Irish infantry division.
Very likely made during WW1, trenchart items were made from spent military equipment to pass away the time whilst the soldiers were in the trenches awaiting combat.
The skiff measures 14.5cm in length x 3.8cm wide and is quite heavy.
Trenchart objects are always unique one of a kind, so this is a nice piece for a collector.
